To combat deforestation and promote environmental sustainability, the Local Government Unit of Dumarao joined the Province of Capiz in celebrating the Provincial Arbor Day at Sitio Terum, Brgy Codingle, Dumarao.
The activity was attended by a diverse group of stakeholders from Dumarao, including the LGU, the Bureau of Fire Protection, and the Philippine National Police.
This celebration is a way to encourage every individual to plant trees, to protect the environment, and to remind the people of the importance of trees in mitigating climate change and protecting the country’s biodiversity.
